Gemini is launching a panel for small business owners from which they can look after their brand, check their accounts and understand their customers better. Businesses will be able to link it to Shopify, Canva, Wix or Google Workspace and use Nano Banana 2.1 to generate images that stay true to their style. Google will switch it on over the coming days in every country for anyone who uses the app.
Google has announced on its official blog new tools in Gemini, its AI assistant, aimed at people who run a small company. According to the company, the business landing page, the marketing and finance features and the new connected apps will start reaching all Gemini app users worldwide over the coming days. The announcement gives no pricing details.
The centerpiece is that landing page: a single space from which owners can work on their brand image, review their accounts and get to know their customers better, among other tasks. Gemini will be able to link to Google's own tools, such as Google Workspace (its office apps), Google Ads or Google Business Profile, and to connected apps from other companies: Shopify, Canva, Wix, Adobe, Xero, Dropbox and Zoho.
On the branding side, each business will be able to set its style by uploading its fonts, color palettes, website or brand kit. Gemini remembers it and, with Nano Banana 2.1 (Google's latest image generation model), creates images that match that style for product launches or marketing campaigns, with no need to upload the guidelines again each time. On finances, it turns receipts, purchase records and messy spreadsheets into charts and interactive models within seconds.
Google says tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini to come up with new products, handle customer feedback or analyze how their business is doing. Among the examples it gives is Morgane, a ceramicist from Bordeaux (France) who runs Bleu Clémentine and who, according to Google, saves two to three hours a day by writing product descriptions, newsletters and social media posts with Gemini. The announcement also features cases from India, Brazil, Indonesia and the United States.
For larger companies that need centralized admin controls, data governance and enterprise-grade security, Google points to its Gemini for business offering.
Why it matters · analysis and opinion
Until now, anyone running a shop or a small studio used Gemini as a general-purpose assistant that had to be given the context again in every conversation. Having it remember the business's visual identity and connect to the online store, the design tools or the accounting brings it closer to a day-to-day work app, and it also raises how much the user entrusts to it. The announcement does not explain which permissions each connection asks for or how the receipts and accounts that are uploaded are handled, two important questions when customer data and money are involved. Before linking real invoicing, the sensible move is to try it with sample data, check what each app can read and change, and start with brand tasks, where a mistake costs less.

What does it mean for your business? · analysis and opinion
This matters most to freelancers and small businesses in Spain and Latin America that already use Gemini or work with Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Workspace or apps such as Canva, Shopify, Wix, Zoho or Xero. Google says the features will roll out globally in the coming days, so the sensible approach is not to plan anything around them until they actually appear in your own account. The announcement does not give prices or say which plans include them. For anyone who uses none of these tools, nothing changes for now.
Our advice is to put together a small package with the company logo, fonts and colors beforehand, and to test the brand style on a single piece, such as an image for a new product, before using it across a whole campaign. Every generated image should be checked by hand before it is published. The same goes for the financial graphics: it is better to start with a copy of the spreadsheet and confirm that the figures in the chart match the originals.
The main risk lies in the connections. Linking Gemini to your store, your accounting or your email gives it access to sales and customer data, and receipts may contain personal data. It is wise to connect only the apps that are really needed, review which permissions are granted and remove the ones that are no longer used.
