Grok Imagine releases the first episode of its Odyssey series

Grok's video tool has premiered on X the first part of a series based on Homer's poem, running a little over seven minutes in 4K resolution. Wonder Studios and filmmaker Dev Walker worked on it alongside the tool, and Elon Musk shared it a few hours later. Musk had announced in July a full film about The Odyssey for 2026, and this installment is not it yet.
On Friday, October 23, the Grok Imagine account, Grok's image and video generator, posted on X the first episode of a series inspired by Homer's Odyssey and created with that same tool. The piece runs a little over seven minutes and was uploaded in 4K. According to the post, it is a creative collaboration with the studio Wonder Studios and director Dev Walker.
That same night, Elon Musk shared it on his profile with a four-word message: "Odyssey with Grok Imagine". Wonder Studios, which produces films and commercials, also spread it, according to Tesla North.
Grok Imagine has not said how many episodes the series will have or when the next one will arrive. In the same post, it asked viewers whether they wanted a detailed explanation of how it was made.
The episode comes three months after Musk promised in July, also on X, that before the end of 2026 Grok Imagine would make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is "historically accurate and true to the art of Homer", as reported by Cryptopolitan. What has been released now is the first installment of a series, not that movie.
