Oracle launches industry-specific AI agents in NetSuite

Oracle has unveiled SuiteAgents at SuiteWorld in Las Vegas: AI agents for NetSuite that watch over the processes of a given industry, warn of problems and suggest what to do. There are versions for software, product, construction, services, healthcare and nonprofits. The first three already work in NetSuite Next; the rest will come later, with no set date.

Oracle NetSuite, Oracle's cloud-based business management system (ERP), on Monday, October 26, presented SuiteAgents, a set of AI agents built around the processes of particular industries. The company made the announcement at SuiteWorld, its conference in Las Vegas.

The company says the agents pair each customer's own data with what NetSuite has picked up over 28 years of work with different industries, so they can spot problems, suggest what to do next and help carry it out inside the workflows a business already has. Ask Oracle, its chat assistant, is there to answer questions; SuiteAgents are meant to keep a constant eye on things and handle jobs that take several steps.

Six industries are covered. In software, the agents look for anything that could hurt revenue retention, margins or regulatory compliance in contracts, invoicing and forecasts. For companies that sell products, they assess stock levels and shifts in supply. In construction, they turn cost estimates into job budgets and draw up progress billing based on verified work, approved changes and retentions. In services, they turn work contracts into project plans that can be edited, check how much capacity the team has and point out mistakes in timesheets. In healthcare, they put together inventory, service lines, reimbursements and payer types to detect supply and financial risks. And for nonprofits, they look for financial and compliance problems tied to grants.

The software, product and construction agents can already be used in NetSuite Next, the AI-powered version of NetSuite that Oracle unveiled in October 2025. The rest will arrive in a later release, with no date, and Oracle warns that the timing may change. The announcement gives no prices.

"Our new SuiteAgents put the industry expertise that NetSuite has developed over almost three decades to work," said Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of Oracle NetSuite. In his words, they will help finance and operations teams react more quickly without giving up oversight, judgment or accountability.

Why it matters · analysis and opinion

Until now, AI in business management software has mostly looked like an assistant you have to ask. What Oracle is proposing is different: agents that keep watch on a specific process on their own, such as billing on a contract or the budget for a building job, and raise the alarm before the problem reaches the books. For anyone already using NetSuite in those industries, the practical question is what it takes to switch them on, how much they cost and which decisions still need a person's sign-off, because the release answers none of that. Whether the promise holds will also depend on how tidy each company's data is. And the announcement confirms that the big business software vendors are now competing on specialised agents, not generic chats.
