The regional government of Murcia (Spain) agreed this Thursday, October 1, to allocate €900,000 to the Cheque TIC (ICT Voucher), the program run by the Instituto de Fomento (Info), the regional development agency, so that small and medium-sized businesses in the region can invest in innovation and digitalization.
With the ICT Voucher, small businesses can fund projects in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, industrial automation, software for production processes (MES systems), data analytics, logistics management or digital twins (virtual models of a process, a facility or a product), among others.
The grants could cover up to 70% of the eligible cost, and up to 85% for projects linked to the strategic sectors of the region (those in its RIS4 strategy).
In the previous call, co-financed with European ERDF funds, there were 221 applications and grants were awarded to 96 small businesses, which drove technology projects and investments worth €1.2 million.
That said, for now this is only the agreement of the regional Governing Council: the official press release does not yet give deadlines, requirements or a date to apply for the grant.
